College of Agriculture, Health, and Natural Resources
Welcome to the College of Agriculture, Health, and Natural Resources
The College of Agriculture, Health, and Natural Resources comprises the School of Agriculture & Natural Resources, the School of Aquaculture and Aquatic Science, and the School of Nursing and Health Sciences. Students can select from many exciting and innovative degree programs at both the undergraduate and graduate level, along with specialized certificate programs. In addition, the College of Agriculture, Health, and Natural Resources works closely with the Kentucky State University Land Grant Program and its Cooperative Extension, Research, and outreach programs to serve communities across the Commonwealth.
School of Agriculture & Natural Resources
Research in the College of Agriculture, Health, and Natural Resources spans agriculture, aquaculture, environmental studies, sustainability, food and animal sciences, and family and consumer sciences.
School of Aquaculture and Aquatic Science
Aquaculture is a rapidly growing field as global demand for fish rises and wild catches decline. In Kentucky and the southern United States, production emphasizes freshwater species raised in managed systems for commercial markets.
School of Nursing and Health Sciences
The School of Nursing is committed to advancing health and well-being through excellence in education. Its mission is to prepare well-rounded, clinically skilled, and compassionate nurses ready to serve communities with knowledge and care.
Program Offerings
From Kentucky's Rich Traditions to Global Innovations
The College of Agriculture, Health, and Natural Resources and its three distinct but complementary schools unite to prepare leaders who will feed, heal, and sustain the world. Students can choose from a range of programs that provide a comprehensive education and lead directly to meaningful careers that positively impact communities in Kentucky and beyond.
Our mission centers on three vital areas of impact. We focus on feeding our communities through the School of Agriculture and Natural Resources, building on a rich heritage of innovation to power the future of food, farming, and the environment. We prepare graduates for healing through the School of Nursing and Health Sciences, training healthcare professionals for vital, high-demand careers on the front lines of patient care. And we work toward sustaining our planet through the School of Aquaculture and Aquatic Science, where our specialized programs advance clean water technology, aquaponics, and sustainable aquaculture systems.
